Court-Appointed Parent Coordination is a service provided by a Licensed Professional Counselor, focusing on the best interest of the child(ren). The Parent Coordinator serves to assist families experiencing ongoing co-parenting conflict following separation or divorce. Parent coordination helps parents implement and clarify court orders related to parenting time, communication, and decision-making, while working to reduce conflict and improve cooperation.
The Parent Coordinator communicates directly with the parents and may provide written summaries, observations, or recommendations to the parents and their attorneys. These written records may be used in court proceedings if submitted by counsel; however, the Parent Coordinator does not modify court orders, provide legal advice, or serve as an advocate for either party.
If you are a party to a legal case in which Parent Coordination has been ordered or recommended, please request services by completing the form linked below.
